Butter Fried Meat And Pork Rissoles
Ingredients
- 1 lb cold minced meat
- ½ lb fresh lean pork, minced
- 1 shallot, chopped
- 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- A pinch of nutmeg
- 1 egg, beaten
- Flour for coating
- Butter for frying
- ¼ cup stock or meat juice
- ¼ cup water
Method
- 1 Combine the minced meat, pork, shallot, parsley, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and beaten egg in a bowl. Mix thoroughly.
- 2 Form the mixture into small balls. Roll each ball in flour to coat evenly.
- 3 Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the rissoles on all sides.
- 4 Pour in the stock (or meat juice) and water. Simmer gently for 10 minutes until cooked through. Serve hot.
