Butter Fried Meat And Pork Rissoles

Ingredients

  • 1 lb cold minced meat
  • ½ lb fresh lean pork, minced
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • A pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • Flour for coating
  • Butter for frying
  • ¼ cup stock or meat juice
  • ¼ cup water

Method

  1. 1 Combine the minced meat, pork, shallot, parsley, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and beaten egg in a bowl. Mix thoroughly.
  2. 2 Form the mixture into small balls. Roll each ball in flour to coat evenly.
  3. 3 Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Brown the rissoles on all sides.
  4. 4 Pour in the stock (or meat juice) and water. Simmer gently for 10 minutes until cooked through. Serve hot.
