Butter Fried Corn Cakes
Ingredients
- 1 cup corn meal
- 1 cup milk
- 1 egg
- Salt to taste
- Butter for cooking
Method
- 1 Mix corn meal, milk, salt, and egg in a bowl until well beaten and thin enough to pour.
- 2 Heat a skillet or iron and add butter.
- 3 Pour batter into the pan to form cakes the size of a breakfast plate.
- 4 Cook until golden brown on both sides, then serve hot.
