Butter Folded Egg White Waffles
Ingredients
- 1 pint flour
- 2 level teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 3 egg yolks, well-beaten
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 3 egg whites, beaten stiff
Method
- 1 Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- 2 Stir in milk, beaten egg yolks, and melted butter until combined.
- 3 Gently fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
- 4 Grease a hot waffle iron and pour in batter.
- 5 Cook for about one minute, then turn and cook a little longer until done.
- 6 Serve immediately with butter, maple syrup, or marmalade.
