Butter Cream Cake
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup cream or sour milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 cups flour
- 4 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- vinegar (for activating soda)
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 2 Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- 3 Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 4 Alternate adding the flour and the cream (or sour milk) to the mixture.
- 5 Mix baking soda with vinegar and stir it into the batter at the very last moment.
- 6 Pour batter into shallow tins and bake until done.
