Butter Corn Tortillas
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cups masa harina
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons warm water
Method
- 1 Mix masa harina and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly, then add water and mix until a soft dough forms. Rest for 5 minutes.
- 2 Divide dough into 12 pieces and roll into balls.
- 3 Press each ball between plastic wrap into a flat tortilla.
- 4 Cook on a hot griddle for 1-2 minutes per side until golden and slightly puffed.
