Butter Corn Tortillas

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups masa harina
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 1/2 cups unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 2 tablespoons warm water

Method

  1. 1 Mix masa harina and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly, then add water and mix until a soft dough forms. Rest for 5 minutes.
  2. 2 Divide dough into 12 pieces and roll into balls.
  3. 3 Press each ball between plastic wrap into a flat tortilla.
  4. 4 Cook on a hot griddle for 1-2 minutes per side until golden and slightly puffed.
