Butter Cake With Whipped Egg Whites
Ingredients

- sugar
- egg yolks
- egg whites
- flavoring
- milk
- flour
- fruit (optional)
Method
- 1 Rub butter until light and smooth.
- 2 Add sugar and stir until creamy.
- 3 Beat half the sugar with egg yolks if needed, then add to butter mixture.
- 4 Add flavoring, then alternate milk and flour until combined.
- 5 Beat batter a few minutes, then fold in whipped egg whites.
- 6 Add fruit if using, then pour into pans and bake in a moderate oven (350°F).
