Butter Braised Young Pea Pods

Ingredients

  • 1 lb young pea pods (capucijners)
  • Water
  • Butter
  • Chopped parsley (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Wash and trim the young pea pods.
  2. 2 Place in a pot with a small amount of water and bring to a boil.
  3. 3 Shake the pot occasionally to prevent sticking while cooking.
  4. 4 Cook for about 30 minutes until the water has nearly evaporated and pods are tender.
  5. 5 Add butter, toss to coat, and simmer for a few more minutes until glossy and hot.
