Butter Braised Young Pea Pods
Ingredients
- 1 lb young pea pods (capucijners)
- Water
- Butter
- Chopped parsley (optional)
Method
- 1 Wash and trim the young pea pods.
- 2 Place in a pot with a small amount of water and bring to a boil.
- 3 Shake the pot occasionally to prevent sticking while cooking.
- 4 Cook for about 30 minutes until the water has nearly evaporated and pods are tender.
- 5 Add butter, toss to coat, and simmer for a few more minutes until glossy and hot.
