Butter Braised Okra And Tomatoes
Ingredients
- 1 quart fresh or canned tomatoes
- 1 pint fresh okra, sliced
- 1 generous heaping tablespoon butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 If using fresh tomatoes, skin them, then cut into quarters.
- 2 Place tomatoes in a pot over heat and boil until most of the water has evaporated.
- 3 Add the sliced okra and cook until tender.
- 4 Season with a generous heaping tablespoon of butter, salt, and pepper to taste.
