Butter Braised Haricot Beans
Ingredients
- 1 lb haricot beans
- 1 small onion
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Soak the beans overnight in water.
- 2 Place beans in a pot with boiling water, a small piece of butter, and a small onion. Boil gently for 3 to 4 hours until tender.
- 3 Drain the beans. Return to the pot and shake over low heat with a little butter, salt, and pepper before serving.
