Butter Boiled Broad Beans
Ingredients
- broad beans, shelled
- salt
- water
- butter or dripping
- pepper
Method
- 1 Place shelled broad beans in boiling water with salt (1 tablespoon per 2 quarts).
- 2 Boil gently for 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the size and age of the beans, until tender.
- 3 Drain the water, then shake the beans in the saucepan over low heat with butter or dripping, pepper, and salt.
