Butter Boiled Beets

  • butter
  • salt
  • pepper

Method

  1. 1 Wash beets well without breaking the skin to preserve color.
  2. 2 Boil beets for 1 hour if young, or 2-3 hours if old, until tender.
  3. 3 Transfer beets to cold water and remove the skins.
  4. 4 Season with butter, salt, and pepper. Serve whole if small or sliced if large.
