Buckwheat Pancakes With Molasses And Shortening
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 2 cups buckwheat flour
- 6 teaspoons baking powder
- 1½ teaspoons salt
- 2½ cups milk or milk and water
- 1 tablespoon molasses
- 1 tablespoon shortening
Method
- 1 Sift together the flour, buckwheat flour, baking powder, and salt.
- 2 Add the milk mixture, molasses, and melted shortening; beat for three minutes.
- 3 Bake on a hot greased griddle and serve immediately with butter and syrup.
