Browned Parsnips
Ingredients
- 1 quart parsnips
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter or bacon drippings
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
Method
- 1 Wash, scrape, and slice parsnips. Cover with boiling water and boil until tender, then drain.
- 2 Brown the parsnips on a greased griddle or frying pan.
- 3 Season with salt and pepper before serving.
