Browned Parsnips

Ingredients

  • 1 quart parsnips
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter or bacon drippings
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper

Method

  1. 1 Wash, scrape, and slice parsnips. Cover with boiling water and boil until tender, then drain.
  2. 2 Brown the parsnips on a greased griddle or frying pan.
  3. 3 Season with salt and pepper before serving.
