Brown Sugar Toffee
Ingredients
- 1 lb brown sugar
- ¾ cup cold water
- 8 oz unsalted butter
Method
- 1 Combine brown sugar, cold water, and butter in a small preserving pan.
- 2 Stir well together over heat until the mixture reaches a full boil.
- 3 Test the toffee's strength by dropping a small amount into cold water to check for hard crack stage, similar to barley sugar.
