Brown Sugar Sticky Buns
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon shortening
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
Method
- 1 Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Rub in shortening lightly.
- 2 Add milk slowly to form a soft dough. Roll out to ¼ inch thick.
- 3 Spread soft butter over dough, then cover with brown sugar.
- 4 Roll up like a jelly roll and cut into 2-inch pieces.
- 5 Place cut-side up on a greased pan. Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.
- 6 Remove from pan immediately after baking.
