Brown Sugar Raisin Loaf Cake
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 5 tablespoons shortening
- 1 ¾ cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup seeded raisins
Method
- 1 Cream the egg, brown sugar, and shortening well.
- 2 Add flour, baking powder, and milk; beat to thoroughly mix.
- 3 Stir in raisins, pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.
- 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 40 minutes.
