  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 5 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 ¾ cups flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup seeded raisins

Method

  1. 1 Cream the egg, brown sugar, and shortening well.
  2. 2 Add flour, baking powder, and milk; beat to thoroughly mix.
  3. 3 Stir in raisins, pour into a greased and floured loaf pan.
