Brown Sugar Praline Candies

Ingredients

  • 3 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 cup nuts, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. 1 In a heavy saucepan, combine brown sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
  2. 2 Add cream and continue to boil, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches the soft-ball stage (235°F to 240°F).
  3. 3 Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and chopped nuts.
  4. 4 Drop spoonfuls onto a greased baking sheet and allow to cool completely before serving.
