Brown Sugar Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 4 eggs
• 1 cup butter or Crisco
• 2 cups light brown sugar
• 3 rounded teaspoons baking powder
• 2 teaspoons lemon or vanilla extract
• Flour as needed to make medium consistency dough

Method

1. 1 Preheat oven to 425°F.
2. 2 Cream butter and sugar, then beat in eggs.
3. 3 Stir in baking powder and extract.
4. 4 Add flour gradually until dough reaches medium consistency.
5. 5 Roll dough out not too thin and cut into shapes.
6. 6 Bake in hot oven until done.
