Brown Sugar Bran Muffins
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 3½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 cup bran
- 1 egg, beaten
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 tbsp shortening, melted
Method
- 1 Sift the flour, baking powder, and salt into a bowl.
- 2 Stir in the brown sugar and bran.
- 3 Combine the beaten egg, milk, and melted shortening in a separate bowl.
- 4 Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix quickly.
- 5 Turn batter into greased muffin pans and bake in a 425°F oven for 25 minutes.
