Brown Sugar Baked Beans With Salt Pork
Ingredients
- 1 pint small white beans
- ½ lb salt pork, scored
- ½ tsp dry mustard
- Salt to taste
- White pepper to taste
- ½ cup white sugar
Method
- 1 Soak beans overnight. Drain, rinse with cold water, and simmer for 45 minutes.
- 2 Place beans in a bean pot with pork, mustard, salt, pepper, and sugar.
- 3 Add water as needed and bake at 300°F for 12 hours.
