Brown Rice With Tomatoes And Cheese

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 4 tablespoons rice
  • 1 ½ cups boiling water
  • 3 onions, chopped fine
  • 1 green pepper, chopped fine
  • 1 cup strained canned tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
  • ½ cup grated cheese
  • finely chopped parsley, for garnish

Method

  1. 1 Heat oil in a frying pan. Add rice and toss until well browned.
  2. 2 Add boiling water, chopped onions, green pepper, and canned tomatoes. Cook until rice is soft.
  3. 3 Stir in salt, paprika, and grated cheese until well blended. Serve garnished with parsley.
