Brown Rice With Tomatoes And Cheese
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 tablespoons rice
- 1 ½ cups boiling water
- 3 onions, chopped fine
- 1 green pepper, chopped fine
- 1 cup strained canned tomatoes
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 ½ teaspoons paprika
- ½ cup grated cheese
- finely chopped parsley, for garnish
Method
- 1 Heat oil in a frying pan. Add rice and toss until well browned.
- 2 Add boiling water, chopped onions, green pepper, and canned tomatoes. Cook until rice is soft.
- 3 Stir in salt, paprika, and grated cheese until well blended. Serve garnished with parsley.
