  • 1 onion
  • butter
  • white fish, cut into small pieces
  • flour, for rolling fish
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 quart water
  • seasoning

Method

  1. 1 Fry 1 onion in butter.
  2. 2 Roll fish pieces in flour, then fry in the onion butter. Remove fish and set aside on brown paper.
  3. 3 In a saucepan, stir 2 tablespoons flour until brown. Gradually stir in 1 quart water.
  4. 4 Bring to a boil, then add the fried fish and seasoning.
