Brown Butter Vegetable Stew

Ingredients

  • Assorted vegetables (excluding cabbage)
  • Butter
  • Water
  • Flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • French rolls (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Chop vegetables small and fry in butter until brown.
  2. 2 Add water and thicken with a mixture of flour and butter.
  3. 3 Stew gently for three hours, seasoning to taste.
