Brown Butter Beef Gravy
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon butter or fat
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 cup beef stock or boiling water
- salt and pepper to taste
Method
- 1 Brown the fat in a saucepan.
- 2 Add flour and brown the mixture.
- 3 Add liquid and stir until smooth and thick.
- 4 Season with salt and pepper, then simmer for 5 minutes.
