Brown Butter Bechamel Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1 egg-sized piece of butter
- 1 pint milk
Method
- 1 Melt the butter in a saucepan over heat.
- 2 Stir in the flour and cook until the mixture begins to brown.
- 3 Pour in the milk while stirring constantly with a wooden spoon.
- 4 Continue stirring until the sauce thickens to a cream-like consistency.
- 5 Adjust thickness by adding milk if too thick or a butter-flour mixture if too thin.
