Brown Butter Apples With Chipolata Sausages
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sausages (preferably chipolata)
- 1 lb brown pippin apples
- Butter
Method
- 1 Fry sausages lightly in butter until browned.
- 2 Remove sausages and keep warm.
- 3 Peel and core apples, cutting them into ¼-inch thick rounds.
- 4 Simmer apple rounds in the sausage drippings with added butter until tender but holding shape.
- 5 Arrange apple rings in the center of a dish and place sausages around them.
