Brown Bread Ice Cream
Ingredients

- cream
- sugar
- vanilla
Method
- 1 Dry and toast the bread in the oven, then grate or pound it and pass through a sieve.
- 2 Heat half the cream and all the sugar; remove from heat, add vanilla, and let cool.
- 3 Stir in the remaining cream, then freeze the mixture according to your ice cream maker's instructions.
- 4 When frozen, remove the dasher, stir in the prepared brown bread, repack, and let ripen.
