Broiled Tomato Cheese Casseroles
Ingredients
- 8 large firm tomatoes
- 1/2 cup cottage cheese, low-fat
- 1/8 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup plain bread crumbs
- cooking spray or vegetable oil
Method
- 1 Wash tomatoes and cut in half.
- 2 Mix cottage cheese, basil, and pepper.
- 3 Spread the cheese mixture onto the tomato halves.
- 4 Sprinkle with bread crumbs and lightly spray with cooking spray.
- 5 Place tomatoes on a sprayed broiler pan and broil for about 10 minutes.
