Broiled Sirloin Steaks With Fried Potatoes
Ingredients
- 4 beef sirloin steaks
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Butter for rubbing and frying
- 1 onion, minced very fine
- 2-3 cold boiled potatoes, sliced
Method
- 1 Trim the beef steaks, removing bone and skin. Beat them tender with a rolling pin or mallet.
- 2 Rub steaks with salt, pepper, and softened butter. Sprinkle with minced onion. Cover and let sit for at least one hour.
- 3 Broil the steaks over a clear fire or high-heat broiler until desired doneness.
- 4 Slice cold boiled potatoes and fry them in butter until golden. Serve steaks surrounded by the fried potatoes.
