Broiled Sirloin Steaks With Fried Potatoes

Ingredients

  • 4 beef sirloin steaks
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Butter for rubbing and frying
  • 1 onion, minced very fine
  • 2-3 cold boiled potatoes, sliced

Method

  1. 1 Trim the beef steaks, removing bone and skin. Beat them tender with a rolling pin or mallet.
  2. 2 Rub steaks with salt, pepper, and softened butter. Sprinkle with minced onion. Cover and let sit for at least one hour.
  3. 3 Broil the steaks over a clear fire or high-heat broiler until desired doneness.
  4. 4 Slice cold boiled potatoes and fry them in butter until golden. Serve steaks surrounded by the fried potatoes.
