  • flour
  • bacon fat
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon grated onion
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. 1 Wipe the shad roe and parboil for five minutes.
  2. 2 Wipe dry, dust lightly with flour, and brush with bacon fat.
