Broiled Oysters With Orange Butter

Ingredients

  • large oysters
  • melted butter
  • orange juice
  • pepper

Method

  1. 1 Place oysters on a gridiron with heads down. Broil dry until brown and hard.
  2. 2 Place two or three oysters in a shell with melted butter. Return to gridiron and broil until finely stewed.
  3. 3 Transfer to a plate. Fill with melted butter or butter beaten with orange juice.
  4. 4 Season lightly with pepper and serve hot.
