Broiled Oysters On Toast With Butter
Ingredients
- 3 dozen large oysters
- Salt and pepper
- Butter
- Thin slices of toast
- Lemon
- Parsley
Method
- 1 Drain and wipe dry 3 dozen large oysters. Season with salt and pepper.
- 2 Fry oysters briskly in butter for two minutes, then skim out.
- 3 Arrange oysters on a buttered oyster-broiler and broil brown on both sides.
- 4 Place oysters on toast slices, pour hot butter over them, and garnish with lemon and parsley.
