Broiled Mushrooms With Butter And Lemon
Ingredients
- mushrooms, cleaned and peeled
- melted butter
- bacon fat (optional)
- lemon juice
- cold salted water (for soaking)
Method
- 1 If mushrooms are strongly flavored, soak in cold salted water for a few minutes, then drain.
- 2 Dip mushrooms in melted butter and place on ice for 15 minutes.
- 3 Broil the mushrooms, basting with bacon fat if desired.
- 4 Serve immediately with melted butter and lemon juice.
