Broiled Herrings With Mustard Butter
Ingredients
- Herrings, pilchards, or sprats
- Butter
- Salt
- Mustard
- Lemon
- Beer
Method
- 1 Clean, wash, and dry the fish. Season with salt and baste with butter.
- 2 Broil the fish over a soft fire until cooked through.
- 3 Serve immediately with beaten butter, mustard, and pepper, or beaten butter and lemon juice.
