Broiled Hamburger Steaks With Butter
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank of sirloin, ground
- 3/4 cup moist bread crumbs
- 1 onion, minced
- 2 tablespoons parsley
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 egg
- salad oil, for brushing
- butter, for serving
Method
- 1 In a bowl, combine ground meat, bread crumbs, minced onion, parsley, salt, paprika, and egg. Mix well.
- 2 Form the mixture into flat cakes. Brush both sides with salad oil and place on a baking dish.
- 3 Broil in a gas broiler for 8 minutes, then transfer to a hot oven (425°F) for 7 minutes longer.
- 4 Spread with butter and serve immediately in the baking dish.
