Broiled Field Mushrooms With Butter
Ingredients
- Agaricus campestris mushrooms
- Salt
- Butter
- Toast for serving
Method
- 1 Cut off the stem near the cap, peel the mushrooms, and lay them gills up on a dish. Sprinkle with salt and let sit until moist.
- 2 Place mushrooms on a fine wire broiler. Turn gills side down to the coals first for a few minutes.
- 3 Flip the mushrooms and place a piece of butter on each. Broil until done.
- 4 Serve the mushrooms on toast.
