Method

  1. 1 Split the chickens down the back and season them.
  2. 2 Place on a gridiron over clear coals and cover with a plate to cook faster.
  3. 3 Baste with melted butter, being careful not to let them burn.
  4. 4 Boil giblets in water, chop fine, and make a gravy with butter and seasoning.
  5. 5 Pour gravy into a dish and place the broiled chickens on top.
