Broiled Cheese Sauce On Toast
Ingredients
- 1 slice buttered toast
- 1 oz rich aged cheese, scraped
- 1 tsp butter
- 1 tbsp cream
- 1 egg yolk
Method
- 1 Place scraped cheese, butter, and cream in a saucepan over low heat.
- 2 Stir constantly until the cheese melts and becomes smooth.
- 3 Remove from heat and whisk in the egg yolk until combined.
- 4 Pour the mixture over the buttered toast and broil until golden brown.
