Broiled Cheese Macaroni

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces macaroni
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup grated cheese
  • 2 tablespoons cream

Method

  1. 1 Boil macaroni in plenty of water for 90 minutes, then drain through a sieve.
  2. 2 In a saucepan, combine the drained macaroni with butter, salt, pepper, and half a cup of grated cheese.
  3. 3 Add two tablespoons of cream and stew gently over heat until well combined.
  4. 4 Transfer to a serving dish, sprinkle with remaining grated cheese, and brown under a broiler.
