  • Beefsteaks (from rump or ribs)
  • Salt
  • Butter (optional)
  • Made gravy (optional)
  • Sliced onions (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Cut steaks from a rump or ribs of a fore quarter.
  2. 2 Heat a clean gridiron over a clear, quick fire.
  3. 3 Place steaks on the gridiron and turn constantly with tongs until done.
  4. 4 Sprinkle with salt, remove from fire, and serve hot.
  5. 5 Optionally rub with butter, or serve with made gravy and sliced onions.
