Broccoli Mac And Cheese
Ingredients
- 4 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk (1%, low fat)
- 2 cups low-fat shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 cups cooked and chopped broccoli
- salt to taste
Method
- 1 Cook macaroni according to package directions; drain and return to pan.
- 2 Sprinkle flour over warm macaroni and stir thoroughly to coat.
- 3 Over medium heat, slowly stir in milk until combined.
- 4 Add cheese and pepper; stir until milk and cheese thicken into a creamy sauce, about 7-10 minutes.
- 5 Stir in broccoli and heat thoroughly; season with salt if needed.
