Broccoli And Whole Wheat Pasta Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 4 cups cooked broccoli
  • 4 cups cooked whole wheat pasta
  • 1 cup 1% milk (or non-fat)
  • 1 cup reduced-fat parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • pepper to taste (optional)

Method

  1. 1 Heat milk over medium heat and stir in basil and garlic powder.
  2. 2 Mix cornstarch with 2-3 tablespoons of milk, then add to the hot milk mixture.
  3. 3 Heat until the sauce thickens, then stir in the parmesan cheese.
  4. 4 Pour the sauce over the cooked pasta and broccoli and serve.
