Broccoli And Whole Wheat Pasta Alfredo
Ingredients
- 4 cups cooked broccoli
- 4 cups cooked whole wheat pasta
- 1 cup 1% milk (or non-fat)
- 1 cup reduced-fat parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- pepper to taste (optional)
Method
- 1 Heat milk over medium heat and stir in basil and garlic powder.
- 2 Mix cornstarch with 2-3 tablespoons of milk, then add to the hot milk mixture.
- 3 Heat until the sauce thickens, then stir in the parmesan cheese.
- 4 Pour the sauce over the cooked pasta and broccoli and serve.
