Brewer's Yeast Shaped Rolls
Ingredients
- 1 quart milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 small cup brewer's yeast
- Flour, as needed
- 1 egg
- 2 spoonfuls butter
Method
- 1 Combine milk, salt, yeast, and enough flour to make a stiff batter.
- 2 Let the batter rise until very light.
- 3 Work in the egg and butter, then knead in flour until stiff enough to roll.
- 4 Let the dough rise again until very light.
- 5 Roll out the dough and cut into rounds, braids, or desired shapes.
