Breaded Fried Shad
Ingredients
- shad (head, tail, and bones removed)
- salt
- pepper
- egg
- breadcrumbs
- deep fat for frying
Method
- 1 Remove the head, tail, back, and side bones from the shad.
- 2 Cut the fish into convenient serving pieces.
- 3 Season the pieces with salt and pepper.
- 4 Dip the fish in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
- 5 Fry in deep fat until cooked through.
- 6 Serve with any preferred sauce.
