  • 3 oz bread
  • 1 oz sultanas
  • 1/2 dozen sweet almonds, chopped fine
  • 1 well-beaten egg
  • Cinnamon and sugar to taste
  • 1/2 oz butter
  • A little milk

Method

  1. 1 Soak the bread in milk, then squeeze out the surplus liquid with a spoon.
  2. 2 Mix the bread, sultanas, chopped almonds, egg, cinnamon, sugar, and butter together.
  3. 3 Pour the mixture into a buttered pie dish.
  4. 4 Bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 30 to 45 minutes.
