  • 1 1/2 pints milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 oz sugar

Method

  1. 1 Cut the buns into thin slices and place them in a baking dish.
  2. 2 Beat the eggs well, then mix in the milk and sugar.
  3. 3 Pour the egg mixture over the buns and cover with a plate.
  4. 4 Let stand for 2 hours to absorb the liquid.
  5. 5 Bake at 350°F for 1 hour or steam for 1.5 hours.
  6. 6 Serve warm with lemon sauce.
