Bread And Butter Pudding With Raisins
Ingredients
- slices of buttered bread
- raisins
- grated nutmeg
- sugar
- 6 eggs
- ¾ cup sugar
- 2 quarts rich milk
Method
- 1 Layer slices of buttered bread in a pan, sprinkling raisins, grated nutmeg, and sugar over each slice.
- 2 Beat 6 eggs with ¾ cup sugar, then stir in 2 quarts of rich milk.
- 3 Pour the custard mixture over the bread layers and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) until set.
