Brandy Pound Cake
Ingredients
- 1 lb butter, softened
- 1 lb granulated sugar
- 1 lb all-purpose flour
- 10 large eggs
- ¼ tsp ground mace
- ½ cup brandy
Method
- 1 Preheat oven to 350°F. Line two loaf pans with parchment paper.
- 2 Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- 3 Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the mace and brandy.
- 4 Fold in the flour until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pans.
- 5 Bake for 40 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
