Brandy Pancakes With Nutmeg
Ingredients
- 1 quart sifted flour
- 6 eggs
- 1 tablespoon brandy
- 1 grated nutmeg
- Salt to taste
- Water as needed
- Butter or sweet oil for frying
- Granulated sugar for serving
Method
- 1 In a large bowl, beat together the flour, eggs, brandy, nutmeg, and salt.
- 2 Gradually add water while stirring until the mixture forms a thin, smooth batter.
- 3 Heat butter or oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- 4 Pour in a ladleful of batter, spreading it into a circle.
- 5 Cook until slightly browned on one side, then carefully flip and cook the other side.
- 6 Serve immediately with grated white sugar sprinkled over the top.
