Brandy And Nutmeg Currant Buns
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 6 large eggs
- ½ cup currants
- ½ nutmeg, grated
- 2 tablespoons brandy
- 1 cup whole milk
- ½ cup active dry yeast
Method
- 1 Dissolve yeast in warm milk. Cream butter and sugar, then beat in eggs one at a time.
- 2 Stir in flour, nutmeg, brandy, and yeast mixture. Fold in currants.
- 3 Let dough rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- 4 Divide into small portions and place in shallow pans. Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes.
